When I first saw this I thought it was tasteless
and tacky. However after studying Art & Design for almost 3 years, in my
opinion this is a brilliant piece of Guerilla Advertising. During the 1990’s
Gail Porter posed for several photo shoots for men’s magazines. One such shot
where she is posing nude from behind was projected onto the Houses of
Parliament with a slogan urging people to vote for her in the FHM 100 Sexiest
Women Poll. The masterminds behind this stunt FHM, along with guerilla
marketing company Cunning Communications and projectionist/artist Malcolm
Litson and Jason Bridges created and iconic moment that inspired a brand new
way of advertising.
